As I say, it's spamming my console with 'command not found' despite them working in terminal...
How did that differ from the results you were expecting?
I’ll talk about some of the tools here that can help you spruce up your OS X desktop. Wallpaper Clocks is quite self-explanatory and straight-forward.
It is an application that changes your wallpaper from a static image file into an animated clock.
It’s newly launched so there’s a limited supply of scripts and vote data to work with, but this is definitely going to be a great repository for all us Geek Tool fans.
Each script listed includes a screenshot of it running on the Mac desktop within Geek Tool, information on the script itself, and of course the ability to download the scripts.
If you think you have managed to write a nice general localization file for your language, please contact me and I’ll include it into the distribution package so that others who’d like to use a localized ical Buddy in your language wouldn’t have to redo that work. The easiest way to fix this is to update ical Buddy, but if you for some reason don’t want to do that, in the (I assume most common) case of the newline you simply need to input an $ ical Buddy events Today 2 • An Event (Work) location: Meeting room A tomorrow at - $ $ ical Buddy -ps "| / | -- |" events Today 2 • An Event (Work) / location: Meeting room A -- tomorrow at - ical Buddy doesn’t support this out of the box, but it’s possible to do with some shell trickery and regular expression magic.
So although I can change my desktop to one of my vacation pics from Hawaii, as well as swap out my screensaver at will to even more vacations pics from Hawaii, I wouldn’t mind some motion to the Pacific Ocean. Live wallpaper—a backdrop with attention-getting movement and/or a constantly updating stream of data—may have been all the rage in the mid-2000s with the PC crowd, but not so much for the devotees of Apple Inc.
But what’s a person who loves both her Macbooks and the instant gratification of live wallpaper to do? And if you’re feeling adventurous with shells, there’s a script for that too.
(If you don’t get this choice in the installer, download the latest release of ical Buddy and try that.) This prefix is the path under which the ical Buddy executable and its manual pages are installed.
The executable is installed in a folder called of ical Buddy is also available online.
